What driving habit bugs you the most? Tailgating? Driving too slow? Not signaling? Improper merging?

Quiz: Are you a crazy driver?
Story: We Seattleites can drive ourselves crazy

Yeah, let me tell you I do think that if you can't reach a decent speed on a bike you shouldn't be on the road I've been yelled at a few times for not going fast enough but I was riding after a 11 miles bike ride so I was getting tired and I hardly bike I probably push myself too hard. I also don't pay attention to stop lights when riding on the sidewalk I mean I can see peoples turn signals maybe it's just a coincidence haven't been hit yet.

Those must have been a bunch or really stupid bicyclists who don't understand how vulnerable they are on the road, not being protected by sheets of metal on either side like in a car, ever if they ride 3 abreast.

We all share the road. I never drink and drive, but they can drink and cycle. Great!

Today I was driving on 71st/70th EB crossing I-5. For those who aren't familiar it's a curving, up-hill overpass going east and has a bike lane in that direction. Anyways, a pack of bicyclists - 15 or so - in their "cute" little spandex suits were riding ahead of me in the same direction at a slow pace which is understandable given the incline. What drove me up the wall was the fact that they were riding 2 and 3 wide taking up half of my lane having leisurely conversations and completely ignoring the boundaries of their lane or the fact that I was trying to get by them with oncoming traffic. Once I did pass them I yelled to get single file and stay in their lane..... They completely ignored me. What a bunch of stuck-up, ignorant pricks! You bikers have your free bike lanes. USE THEM and how about YOU share the road!!!!!

Having ridden bicycles both on and off the road for decades, and having known hundreds of riders over than time, I find it impossible to believe your story.

Any bicycle club is very conscientious about its members being courteous on the road.

I suppose maybe now and then there's a family reunion or something where some once a year riders get together and have a few beers and go for a ride, and behave the way you described.

But people who take their bicycles seriously don't behave that way.

Much more common are the drivers who are hostile to bicycle riders without any provocation. Probably because the rider reminds the driver how he sits on his fat a$s all the time and is 50 pounds overweight. I've been run into the ditch many times by drivers like that.

So let me get this straight. Not only are you calling me a liar, you're implying I'm probably overweight and was just being overzealous? Oh and that since you know a bunch of bicyclists, you know them all? Talk about arrogant....

Coming late to the party, but are you serious? You drive down any back road on a sunny weekend and you'll see packs of cyclists 3-4 abreast taking up most of the lane. Generally there's a backup of cars and these guys just cycle on like it's their right to block traffic and ignore everyone use. I was hauling a horse trailer down one such road and yep, there they are, taking up the lane I'm in so I'm forced to do 10 miles an hour while they blithely peddle along, center of their universe. When I was finally able to go around they gave me the finger. Nice, real nice, very classy.
