Outlook 2007 Configuration

Postby kenef on Thu Sep 06, 2012 12:48 pm

I am running MS Office 2007. I have been able to use Outlook in the past with no problem. However, for a little less than a year now I haven't been able to access/use Outlook. Here is the series of messages I receive when attempting to access Outlook: In a small window, "Configuring Outlook Accounts". After 30 or so seconds another window opens, "Connecting to MS Exchange" but nothing happens and I now get, "MS Exchange is unavailable" with options to "retry", "work offline" or "cancel". Selecting "retry" results in the above. Selecting " work offline" results in "Outlook cannot log on. Verify you are connected to the network and are using proper server and mailbox name. The connection to MS Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action." Now a new window opens with the following: "MS Exchange Server "POP 3.live.com" and Mailbox "kenfoy@hotmail.com". I then click on an option "Check name". I get "Outlook cannon log on." I click on "Verify". I get: "The name cannot be resolved. The action cannot be completed." I click on "OK." I get: "Cannot open your default email folder. Your profile is not configured." I click "OK" and that ends the process. I was online the entire time so I know that was not an issue with access to the internet. I
re-installed Office 2007 from the original master disk and tried Outlook with same result. I went to MS update site and installed all current updates. Same result. I am hoping someone has a solution because I really don't want to invest in the current edition of MS Office.
