Apple security hole
If you've got any Apple devices -- and who doesn't? -- it's worth taking a look at this article in today's New York Times. It discusses how it's not only your address book that has been left unprotected from application developers. Apparently, applications can access all your photos, too, without your knowing it.
Apple claims that since all applications must be vetted by Apple consumers need not worry. But applications that accessed information from users' address books somehow got past that vetting. Apple had no comment.

Re: Apple security hole
Apple is better to vet out crappy SW (apps) than the Android market place, but as usual, it is always a good practice to read reviews and the FAQ before installing ANY SW (or App).

Unfortunately, this stuff tends to get around quite a bit before being noted in any review. It's pretty well hidden.
