Point-and-shoot camera

Just curious. Is anyone still using -- or buying -- point-and-shoot cameras? Cell phones have certainly gotten good enough for snapshots, plus you can mail them directly.

Bought and have used a couple of Nikon waterproof, dropproof, etc. proof for my grandson (he is 7) and myself. For me they are great and inexpensive for the ocean salt zone on the beaches, Oregon for me. For the grandkid? Well, he is 7.

I had bought Canon Powershot S100 from a local pawn just down the street.. It has got great LCD, awesome picture quality, extremely light and best part .. Cash Pawn offered it at damn low price!!!!!!!! Looks trendy too
