Unwanted Screen Saver...
A few days ago I somehow accidentally clicked a button or hit a key that set off a screensaver on my screen that continuously cycles thru all the photos in my system, displaying each for 10 - 15 seconds at a time. This was actually enjoyable to watch, but today it stopped, to be replaced by a black screen with an errror window in the middle titled "Screen Saver: WLXPGSS.SCR...." with a message: "Cannot find file d3dx9_32.dll, try to reload it".
Using search, I actually found that file in the Windows directory, but then what to do with it....?
This black screen with window appears every time the computer is left running alone for 10 - 15 minutes. To bring it out of this state, I must click the window "x" or "OK" button twice, then the computer works normally until it's left alone again.
I'm guessing there is a screen saver program that then wants to start running and somehow got broken (probabaly the one that was showing the photos), but I have no idea what the name of such program is, how to find it, or how to stop it -- or fix it.
Any suggestions...? (System is Win XP SP3.)
