Re: WiFi Connection Issue
I am inclined to think it was a bad file. Did another system restore, which put me back to the original XP. Installed SP2 from a disk, then installed SP3 from a disk. Then set up the wifi and suddenly started getting windows updates including IE8. Except for the hassle of reinstalling programs, it is now working fine. Did not have to reset the router or anything like that. Thanks for your help.
