Injuries
This team seems to have more knee injuries then any team in the MLS by a long shot ( just recently, Duran). Its plain and simple. That garbage rug they call a pitch for soccer in the seahawk stadium is simply not fit for playing on. Zaks devastating injury among the many knee injuries that have happened to our players over the last 4 years could have be minimized or simply prevented if we would put out a grass field for the MLS season or have a soccer based stadium to play in. We can't afford to keep losing key players like this.

Re: Injuries
Not only was Zakuani injured by Brian Mullan and his malicious tackle, it was not his knee, and it didnt even happen at Centurylink field. Duran was injured in a training, not on Centurylink field. Mauro Rosales was tackled with two minutes to go in a 3-0 game.
All that plus they installed new turf this summer makes your claim a little hollow.

Hey, don't let a few facts get in the way. Typical HCMF crap. Some more real crap was that lame PK call at tonights match. I just watched the replay on mlsnet.com. Terrible call.

Re: Injuries
The penalty was a joke but no one talks about the fact that montero jogs around the pitch all night long without an ounce of effort until 5 minutes to go till the end of the game. Tired of seeing possibly the laziest player in the MLS continue to trot out there and do absolutely nothing. We didn't lose the game on the penalty call. We lost because when morales is not on the pitch we simply stink and can't generate any O. Estrada works hard but he is simply a one hit wonder with a lack of pace and height that doesn't help our cause any. Ochoa is simply useless and has no business being on this team.

Re: Injuries
OK, I didn't see the entire match so I went to mlsnet.com and watched the match highlights. Funny hardcore, the very first highlight was of Fredy just barely missing with a header on goal in the 10th minute. Based on that I am going to disregard anything else that came out of your pie hole. Last year you ranted and raved at how much Keller sucked and you were totally off base on that too.

And we wonder why we go to the trouble of putting grass down when the friendlies come to town. Maybe because they won't play on the plastic looking stuff. As much as we want grass as a standard at the Qlink, I don't see it happening until we have a only soccer/futbol specific stadium.

Re: Injuries
The grass pitches are only brought in for the larger teams like Chelsea or Manchester. We have plenty of friendlies on our own turf. And grass doesnt make it any safer.

Well before you open your own pie hole and say anything more that is more idiotic, why don't you watch the entire game before you make any more comments. Ya montero made a few efforts in 90+ minute long game. The point here is that he doesn't give out full effort throught out the game. If you would have actually kept your mouth shut and watched the match you would have seen him jogging around the field and not giving any effort in putting pressure on defense, not going after balls that are provided to him up the field, and generally doing what he has done the majority of his career ----- be lazy on the pitch. Also i am not the only one to have noticed and commented about this on the post comments after the game on the Times here and other sites.

Fredy's gonna have a good season. You watch. Usually the opposite of anything you predict happens so I am looking for Fredy to have a great year. It's kind of like when you were bitching about Keller.

I agree that Fredy's going to have a good season but he's a streaky player. The posts will go back and forth all year long, like they always do. The posts will say, "Fredy needs to be traded because he's overrated and non-productive". He'll score a bunch of points and people will shut up for awhile. He'll get cold again and the whole "trading thing" will start all over again. He's been with the team since the beginning (2009) and he has some faults but overall he's an accomplished player. I'm still waiting for the $100,000 EJ miracle to happen. The Neagle/Fucito hybrid to dazzle us and bring us the MLS trophy. Only time will tell, whether or not he's worthy to stay on the team.
