Re: An Equestrian Book Club, anyone?
Yes, it is non-fiction. It may be a bit new agey for some, but I like it. I started reading it last week, and so far it's really good. It's a different aspect of horses- how they mirror us and can facilitate healing.
We might pick something short that is a quick read for March so we can start a new one April 1
.
Should we make a list for next four months so people can plan ahead? I will read anything from the suggestions above.

Re: An Equestrian Book Club, anyone?
I didn't get started in our current book until well into February because ordering took so long. I still have about 100 pages to go, and MonicaBee may still be reading it, too? I'm really enjoying it and will try to post soon. Would you want to plan the next book in April so folks can plan ahead? But if others want to read something right away, that's good, too!

Re: An Equestrian Book Club, anyone?
Good idea, Joan. March could be finish up Tschiffely's Ride and also then anyone who hasn't started it yet can read it this month, too. That was a great book. I'm really thankful for this book club because I wouldn't have known about it to read it otherwise.
Anyone have strong preferences for the April book or should I pick one from the list above?

Re: An Equestrian Book Club, anyone?
Just heard about this book. I don't think it was mentioned yet. Does anyone know anything about it? With "Tschiffely's Ride" and "A Lady's Life in the Rocky Mountains," I'm really enjoying true tales of horse riders heading out across the country. Makes my trail rides look pretty silly.
"Women to Reckon With", Untamed Women of the Olympic Wilderness. Great stories of several Washington State ladies traveling the Olympic Mountains.

Now that we're done with the winter reading season, how about if we use this thread to comment on any horse book? Please let us know what you're reading or if you have a recommendation.

Moving this one up because there are a lot of good book suggestions here! I especially like to read about the Long Riders.
