We're just now getting a report that two women saw this man on Sept. 21. I'll post a sketch when it's released.

This reminds me that Scott Hansen will be in the South Puget Sound area this fall with his Self-Defense Training for Trail Riders. I've been meaning to go to this clinic for years so will post the info now.


From the Sheriff's Office:

Two victims called the main office today to report the above offense.Victim #1 was jogging in the park near the Temple Loop Pond. She saw a white male adult approaching her from the pond. As he got closer, she saw that he was completely naked. He was not wet and was carrying something, possibly clothing. The suspect apologized for startling her; he did not attack her. When she saw that he was nude, she yelled at him to leave and he took off running.

Victim #2 was jogging in the park, around 0945 hours. She saw a white male adult running towards her. She took off running and hid in the woods until another jogger found her and escorted her to the parking lot.

Both victims gave the same general description of the suspect: W/M adult, in his 30’s-40’s, brown or sandy blond hair, standing about 5’10”-5’11” tall, with an average build (victim #1 said he was about 170 pounds), both stated he was athletic / in good shape. No facial hair, no tattoos.Victim #2 noted a white Subaru outback with two ski racks on top in the parking lot when she got to the park. When she returned, the outback was gone and the male that escorted her back mentioned that he=2 0did not see that car when he arrived.I’m going to do a composite sketch with the second victim tomorrow morning at about 1030.

the reason I bought the self defense cd and I am planing on going to the course at least to watch if not participate. I have been pushing this with my female friends for awhile now to no avail, I am about to physically drag them to the clinic. I have had things happen to me out on the trail,I had one guy grab my reins and other chase me. IT DOES HAPPEN AND MORE OFTEN THAN YOU THINK!

Hmmmmmmm I think I'd be inclined (Mind you from the back of my horse if he was truly fully nakid and I could see no weapon on his body anywhere) to ask if that was the best he had to offer cause it sure wasn't too impresive to view

Seriously though, I would try for a photo with my camera and dialing 911 as I rode in the opposite direction at a good clip. If you got a photo might help cops ID the perv.

think I might have been inclined to fall off my horse in hysterical laughter until he slunk ashamed out of the park...maybe thrash his nekkid behind with a switch from the nearest tree...something his momma should have done a long time ago!

Wyldterv, I had the same thought you did. Even if the picture wasn't any good it might be a deterrent!

Seriously, though, although it is easy to laugh at flashers and their ilk, it can be a first step towards more serious assault or rape for some. And for the victims, it probably made them feel a lot less secure out there. So I hope there is no recurrence.

Definately needs to be taken seriously as flashers are very often on their 'gateway' phase to more violent behavior. The same is said of Peepers too.

On a totally evil note though.... I'd be tempted to say "OHHHH here let ME strip!!!!!! YIPEE a Nudist ride!" and the poor dude would run screaming the opposite direction at over 40 flab bouncing in his direction via horseback

Rats! The naked man is back. A jogger saw him about 3:30 p.m. today.

She was coming out of the Rock Candy bypass onto the pipeline, and he was running up the steep pipeline hill just to the west of Temple Pond. In other words, he was trotting through the park without any pants for anyone to see. He wouldn't have even known who he was going to run into at the top of the hill.

He ran ahead, and the jogger called 911 and told the dispatcher she'd meet the deputy in the parking lot. She waited about 10 minutes to give the man plenty of space. But when she started running back to the parking lot, he popped his face out of the woods.

She turned and ran the other direction -- and he didn't follow. On the way to the lot, the jogger ran into several other women who went with her. She met the deputy in the lot, and there were no cars there that were unaccounted for. Still, he could have parked in the equestrian lot or at one of the other entrances.

This happened just when folks thought we were rid of him. I've heard several other park users quip that he won't be around in the winter because it's too cold for him now. But apparently that's not the case!

This man is dangerous this is the first step before a rape! he will get braver and commit a greater crime that may include trying to or succeding in peeling some one off a horse or bike or some one out jogging. I know that your horse will not run over some one or kick them and that it is gun shy. I also know unless you have had the training a stranger can pull you off your horse. Kicking doesn't work and neither does mace or pepper spray as that can get in you horses eyes and well it hurts. do you want to ride a horse with pepper spray in it's eyes? do you think you could stay on? and with a gun you may get one shot off before you hit the ground or you may shoot your own horse trying to shoot the guy as he ducks under your horses neck! this naked jogger scars the hell out of me and should scare you too!
