Re: Horse plans for 2013?
Wow everyone has such neat plans! I am going to try to ride more this year and since I didn't ride but twice last year that should be easier
I would like to be injury free this year and that would help
Want to work on Sully's flexibility and Caseys attitude! Reel Time, Casey is the same way about arena work and just hates anything repetitive.
May you all have lots of good ride time!

First goal is to get me and my horse in shape for the riding season. I want to refine my riding and get on the trails this year. I've started walking my horse up the gulch near my home. Good exposure for him and exercise.

that wouldn't be the gulch with the rail road tracks that go to the everett boeing plant would it? if so I used to ride those trails out there as a kid keep my horse at Obrian's stables back in the 70's even rode a couple competitive trail rides out of that barn before it closed as was sold off.

That's the one Horsepeople2001. Things have change around there a bit but the locals are trying to keep the gulch from getting developed and remain open to trail use. I'll probably try and use it during the week when it's not as busy.

I'm hoping to ride one of the dressage training-level tests and then submit it for comment on http://www.horseshow.com/. Since I can't afford to lease a horse and do any real showing right now, this'd be the next best thing. I think. We'll see! My trainer is up for it, so what the heck.

I remember that area well with the ghost stories regarding goat trail and the gulch. Rode a couple midnight rides on those trails swam my horse at the oil docks.Use to race up the gulch to see who had the fastest horse, mine was slow!
