the best way to get a dead broke horse is to teach them to drive between a year old and 3 yrs old. they can pull a cart as a yearling up to 3 yrs when you are ready to break them to be under saddle they already know allot and it doesn't take any thing to move them into a saddle. some of the best trail horses are ex harness racers.
