Four kinds of horses: Which do you have?
What do you think of this take on the different type of horse personalities?

OR do you prefer the way that Parelli analyzes horse types with his horsenality?

from the english standpoint she is the first one on the list, from the parelli one she is the left brained extrovert. pretty much a real good girl I would trust to take care of any rider but with a decent go button.

Learn something new every day! Our heard seems to have all types of mixes. We had different names such as "pocket-horse" and "stand-off-ish." Just when you think you have em pegged, they suprise you! This is part of the "challenge" to get these hay-munchers working together. Most of the bunch will ride and one older mare will take care of her rider. She will give her best if the rider knows their stuff. The lead team is the same way-if you can drive, they will go for you, but have taken care of many a novice. Sorry for the rambling.

Re: Four kinds of horses: Which do you have?
Was just thinking about this I have donkeys and they are not like horses when it come to horseanalities or personalities, I may have to come up with donkanalities!
I shall start with my mini jack his traits are this, personable seeks attention from every one makes the first move, very outgoing, social, inquisitive, quick learner as in super speed, patient of beginners and those afraid of equines, loves to hold very still for those people so they don't get scared, likes to try new things such as jumping, pulling a cart.
Now my my mammoth jennet, patient, outgoing, funny likes to mess with things, loves people of all sizes but let you make the first move, slow at learning for a donkey, has some go and very willing to go new places.
The gelding that has a new home, loved to go places, shy but curious, quick learner, stand offish till he got to know you then still a bit shy, tended to be a bit twitchy with greenies or people who moved quick but not dangerous just got out of their way and left them space to twitch. he enjoyed learning usually took about 30 minutes to teach him some thing new and then he had it like a steel trap and was board with it.
