I need to get some updated photos. I want to take some tomorrow. He's getting his feet done - I need to get some shots of his impressive starvation lines.

I PowerPacked him (he and Diamond shared one) three weeks ago - I think his worm belly is shrinking. He has gained 25# (by tape) in a month. He doesn't need much more weight, just condition.

I got him a jacket because I've been considering body clipping him. His starvation coat is so wooly, I can hardly get to his skin. I worry about fungus. I've worked on a couple of scurfy spots that I've found so far.

Playing dress-up when his jacket arrived last week:

I forgot to say - I figured out on my keyboard how to spell his name properly: Brøkk

It's pronounced kind of like Brook - just with a Norwegian accent.

Brøkk got his feet done yesterday, these are "before' pics - didn't take "afters", but his feet are shorter and balanced, and still have the impressive starvation line

I may not need the drag line when I turn him out much longer - his love for cookies is winning against his aversion to being touched. 8)

Rngovvet, How's everything at the ranch? What's the little rescue guy up to? :)

Brøkk is doing well. He comes when he's called now, so no more drag rope. :) He's had his teeth done, and his feet have been done twice, so they're looking really good. He's kind of a stinker - he likes to sneak up behind and nip at the posterior. Being winter, he's only caught clothing, though. He gets a growl and stomp in his general direction when it happens, even though it's amusing and pretty cool that he went from a wild child to comfortable enough to be impish.

I bought a driving harness for him, but have been under the weather for some time, so I've been doing nothing but essential maintenance around here. :( I haven't ridden in a few months...
