Got a rain cover for my western saddle

Postby Joan Deutsch on Fri Dec 28, 2012 2:37 am

I paid extra for fast shipping because I was getting tired of conditioning my saddle after getting soaked on every ride. Haven't tried it out yet because it hasn't rained since the cover arrived.

Have you tried out the rain cover horseback yet? I'm curious to know what your horses think of it?

Kriss, Funny thing you should ask about how the horses like my new
black, bulky saddle cover because I didn't think about that! I put the
saddle with cover on Joe with no problem. But when I wiped it down
before I mounted, it made a squeaky sound and Joe got kinda worried so
I'll need to work on that. We rode in heavy rain and snow but the saddle
stayed dry. Only the stirrups got wet. :D

I answered this on Sunday morning but didn't notice till later that it didn't post. Then
the forum seemed to be down for most of Sunday evening. Did anyone else
have forum trouble?

Glad to hear the saddle cover worked and there was no excitement involved :D

I had trouble with the forum on Sunday as well. We also had internet problems over the weekend so I just figured it was on our end.
