it is interesting that was just my interpretation of part of the book. Some people keep striving to be better riders because of a repressed fear of some kind. like fear of acceptance, fear of failure, that kind of thing they my be proficient and even great riders but can't except that in them selves. they also go on to talk a but about the ppp=people pleasing perfectionists. but it is best to read the book and to understand what it and the exercises can do for you. because we are all different in our goals and fears.

I finished this book and thought it was OK. It talks a lot about just starting with the basics at a point where you have no fear. Like just going to the barn and not riding. It can be a long process but the author finds it's the only way to solve the root problem.
