More human injuries in horse industry than others?
This report says the horse world has more than its fair share of human injuries. I don't think this is a surprise to any of us -- I've seen similar reports from insurance companies. I recently heard that the accident rate is similar with motorcycles and horses.

lets see my horse related non emergency accidents to date are, bruises to both knees, bites both thumbs, being dragged, thrown, stepped on,run over, scrapes, dislocated toe, seems to be countless little injuries that don't get reported because they don't require and surgery or Dr care. those moments that you are flying threw the are thinking these words> this is gonna hurt! oh sh*t. or well that's gonna leave a mark!

I feel the report is highly skewed since it focused solely on the TB racing industry. They summed up their self-reported study with this statement: "Information from 2,293 racing staff revealed 665 accidents in 126 racing yards. An average of five accidents per yard occurred in 2008". Those stats don't really mean anything because of they way they have been manipulated.
