No, you missed the point. Doing something that does nothing, just to DO SOMETHING! as ordered by Gabby Giffords and her her husband's call to arms. Banning weapons not used often in crimes so the law abiding, but not the criminals, can't have them doesn't show a decrease in crimes with these guns, nor a decrease in crime at all. But please, tell me even more about common sense.

1600 gun deaths since New Town and you want me to explain common sense? I'll try, but if you don't have it you won't understand. Gabby and hubby are certainly NOT aiming to ban guns. Why would you need more than ten bullets in a clip? If you think you do, you need much more time at the range learning how to operate your weapon Or you shouldn't own one!

That's still not common sense. Last I checked the DHS wanted Fully Automatic AR-15's- AKA Military M4's with 30 round magazines. (Also- nomenclature wise, a clip feeds the magazine which feeds the firearm- thus its a 30 round magazine, not a clip- I know what you mean, and so does just about everyone else. But others might focus on your lack of firearms knowledge, and not your points- valid or otherwise.)

Former Representative Giffords and her husband certainly are trying to ban some guns. The reasons against which are myriad. Constitutional questions that aren't going to go away. The Popularity of current (especially 9mm) handguns with more than 10 round magazines. Two studies in the mid-2000's by a pair of groups that cannot be said to favor the gun lobby, the National Academy of Sciences in 2004 and the CDC in 2003- Neither could find even a tenuous enough link to support the position that gun laws decrease gun violence.

All of this equates to this piece of common sense- Gun laws that apply primarily to the people not part of the problem will have a marginal-at-best-effect on the problem. And you can't justify constitutional infringement to the Supreme Court of the United States with marginal-at-best.

Common sense is not something the rabid right has any knowledge about. The NRA is their God. The trigger word is regulation and the right goes bonkers. I would like to ask though....Do those of you feeling threatened think that doing nothing at all is the answer?

gates where people gather to hear speakers?
The gates would trigger if that person had a
weapon. In other words, not an open field, but
a certain place to gather that's enclosed somehow.

Another thing I have read is that most or all of these
shootings were from kids who were disturbed and on
medicine. These medicines can cause suicidal thoughts,
and complete change of personalities...
If you listen to these ads or watch them, at the end they
will state "could cause" death...Great, huh?
You try to help your disturbed kids and the medicines
could be changing them to killers...Hey, it's possible.

OMG! You are serious? Seriously?

Yes, I'm serious.....why can't these medications be
a problem? Seriously!!! Might work fine for some,
and others it could be they are allergic to it...

I remember when Retalin first came out.
It's used for mainly boys because they
are "hyper active" and calms them down!
Boy's are active and we should thank the
Lord they are!
Now there's so many out there. Let's see
why some people are depressed and not
try to cover it up...I do think some people
are fine taking some of these drugs. Just
an opinion, no facts.
There's also another video you can click
on to that I saw with this one. It's called
"The Drugging of OUr Children".
So guess I'm not too far off, thinking these
drugs are dangerous.

yes, dangerous.
The key to psychiatric drugs is the fact that they do not cure anything. And the field itself is highly questionable/ subjective.....another offering to and from the god of science.
