Re: I Am Enraged and Saddened
I didn't say gun registration. I said a permit to carry concealed. To walk into a movie theater, grocery store, and so on with a pistol on your hip, under your jacket.

Back to the reason of this thread. Twenty babies were murdered. This isn't the first or last time mass murder will occur. We all know that. To at least diminish the losses would be a start. I own and use many weapons. I do not need more than 10 bullets in my clip. I can switch my mags quickly if I need to. I do not need more. The mass murderers do not really need a CWP now do they? This nation is FLOODED with weapons already. Do you even understand common sense? Doubtful.....

Re: I Am Enraged and Saddened
I have heard some of the most ludicrous statements both here and in my local paper's commentaries about this subject. Any time there is a murder now, some idiot jumps up and down and sarcastically says "let's ban knives, let's ban screw drivers, let's ban cars", and on and on.
Let's try this again.
1. NO ONE is trying too take everyone's guns from them No one has even remotely suggested this.
2. The point of taking a high round weapon away is because , and please think this one though, you can kill many more people in a few seconds than you can with a fewer rounds gun, a knife, a bow and arrow, a car, a box cutter, or a can opener,
Seriously, why can some not see the difference? Please, keep your rifle, your handguns, your shot guns, , but please seriously, try and understand that a many round weapon can be used for mass murder like we witnessed with those poor, angelic babies.

I agree Glen, as you know. We are plagued by the simple minded here, it seems.

Lets ban space ships so people don't fly to the moon. I mean, why would anyone want or need one ?

Oh, concealed, sorry, I missed that in your question. Since I don't think that's a constitutional issue, it's just belief, and of course the states can disagree, but I don't think permits should be doled based on need.

Certainly not, permits should not be doled out based on need. The mass killings have far less to do with permits than access (plus bullets) to individuals who should be banned. Those of us who own weapons is one thing; the other issue is the too easy access by anyone in this already weapon flooded country.

Gee. The guy who started the latest round of gun control. The one the followers in MN, CO, CT, and CA (so far) have been reported to emulate is quoted in the NY Times that confiscation is an option. Its OK Glen. Take a deep breath. It sucks to be so wrong anyone with google and 60 seconds or less can prove it. But it happens. Even to me.
2) Anyone can go to Cabelas and buy an Italian replica of an 1847 Walker Colt and multiple replacement cylinders. That same someone could have done the exact same thing Lanza did. Lanza didn't stop when he had to reload, he stopped when someone who COULD stop him showed up. I'm not saying letting any yahoo that wants to patrol the grounds of every elementary school... but more SRO's would work. Let the National Guard "one weekend a month" get staggered over the school week. So tell me Glen, since you're the expert... in a school room where you're standing in the only door...if you're bat crap crazy with a 6 shot revolver and an a shopping cart full of speedloaders How many 5 year olds can you shoot before.. um... before.. the terrified kids hiding in the corner do nothing?

Dandy, you miss the entire point, sadly. We have lost more citizens to gun violence in this country than any wars combined. Common sense should ( but apparently does not) that some regulation is much needed.
