Which assertions did I deny, then affirm?

Again putting words in my mouth. I never said you denied then affirmed them. Just that you affirmed them a couple posts later. Perhaps your feeling I put words in your mouth has more to do with your reading comprehension and/or sensitivity levels than anything I actually may or may not have said.

No. A controlled study / experiment is when two groups that are as identical as possible, are subjected to different treatments (i.e. one getting medicine, one getting a placebo), then outcome are compared to try to isolate the effect of the medicine itself.

Well considering you can't really do that... just study the effects of what have already been tried. And any study so far shows that drastically infringing an in alienable right in an AWB or other restrictive legislation has proven have negligible IF ANY effect on firearms homicide...

I'm sorry, I misunderstood. Which words did I say that you put in my mouth, then I affirmed? And by affirmed, do you mean you didn't put them in my mouth, or you did put them in my mouth but I agreed anyway?

Well considering you can't really do that... just study the effects of what have already been tried.

Great. So if there is a consistent body of evidence that has shown thoroughly that an initiative does not yield any appreciable result for it's stated goals, and money is being spent continually on that initiative, then that part of the budget and the initiative should be removed.
