I could not watch the CORONATION of PRESIDENT PINOCCHIO today. The very thought made me ill. My only hope is that the House does not allow him to continue to bankrupt the country. And that the House and the NRA stops his insane attempt to destroy the Second Amendment.

Don't worry. Obama is not the source of anything bankrupting this country (you can look at historical debt to see that), and he is doing nothing to destroy the Second Amendment, as regulations don't destroy it.

Not correct Alex. There's been a long history of regulations, and even a LACK of regulations infringing "inalienable" rights until challenged in court and decided, or repaired by constitutional amendments and so on. Right now the recent legislation passed in New York has probably overstepped the bounds of the second amendment. I suspect we'll see a legal challenge to it very soon.
Though I agree with the first part of your statement. We can't lay the blame for the national debt solely at the feet of the President. He had help from the previous administration, as well as both houses of congress.

Let me be clearer then, that may be the issue. Regulations don't by their very nature destroy the 2nd Amendment. The Supreme Court did rule that there can be reasonable restrictions on the 2nd Amendment. While certain restrictions can be unconstitutional, that does not mean that all restrictions, or restrictions by their very nature, are unconstitutional.
So Obama is doing nothing to destroy the Second Amendment, as regulations inherently don't destroy it, and he has no goal of destroying it.
He had help from the previous administration, as well as both houses of congress.
He had the help of nearly all presidents since Andrew Jackson, not just the previous administration.

Strictly speaking, they do. In practice most of us are ok with the NFA, but that does infringe the RKBA. But not enough of us object enough to challenge it. Heller and MacDonald have both set a precedent I can live with, although it requires some chicken or egg convolutions to be avoided regarding our history. At this point I'm in favor of letting sleeping dogs lie.

That seems untrue, given the Supreme Court's ruling in Heller that the right is not absolute.

What court case do you cite for this, or is this opinion?
