The lying MSM propaganda organs for the vicious left have as much blood on their hands as the criminals who pull the triggers. They value their socialist agenda far higher than truth.

Now it's mentioned that maybe teacher's should
carry guns...with training and a permit.
But I don't think all teachers are qualified to carry
a gun, let alone use it.
Bad idea....maybe something like pepper spray,
or whatever they have nowadays to stun and
hopefully deter any killing. No, not stun guns.
Your opinions....

Illinois State Senate Trying to Ram New Gun Ban Through Lame Duck Session

Illinois is the only state in the Union that does not allow some sort of concealed carry statute for its law-abiding citizens. Illinois is also home to the city with the highest murder rate in the country. And yet, the Land of Lincoln is set to ring in the New Year with a new gun banning law that is more extreme than any yet instituted.

There will always be mentally ill people. We need to reduce the amount and type of weapons available to citizens. We will never be able to control the human variable entirely, nor the 'where' variable. We can however control the 'how'. More guns = more gun related deaths. http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/research/hi ... -research/

Tell me how can we get rid of guns?
And tell me why that would help?
And DON'T tell me the gangs wouldn't
have guns....
You know the saying "gun's don't kill
people, people do".
Take a look at Chicago....drugs and
gangs.....let's start there....how is up
to the police or higher ranking people.

It would be a long process. We would start by reducing the availability of certain types of weaponry, and to make the need for people to be trained, licensed and registered - like we do for cars! That will slowly start to reduce the amount of guns in circulation.

And tell me why that would help?

It would reduce the number of weapons that can be used in such violent crimes, thereby reducing victims and the ease of the attackers to cause damage.

And DON'T tell me the gangs wouldn't
have guns....

Of course, they would have guns, and everyone else would have guns, but all would begin to have less and less.

You know the saying "gun's don't kill
people, people do".

Yes, I know the saying.

“I don’t think there is any mystery to understanding the passionate feelings people have for guns. Nobody really believes it’s about maintaining a militia. It’s about having possession of a tool that makes a person feel powerful nearly to the point of exaltation.” ― Alec Wilkinson

Take a look at Chicago....drugs and
gangs.....let's start there....how is up
to the police or higher ranking people.

And where guns are so permeated that you feel like you need to get your own to be safe - but without safety, those guns get lost. In 2012 police confiscated more than 7,400 guns, including 300 assault weapons. That’s nine times as many guns as New York City and three times as many in Los Angeles.

You understand that correlation is not causation, right?

If guns make us safer, than why isn't America safer than most other countries, namely Japan?
