Everyone should watch this. What an intelligent
woman. She's so right. Don't take guns away
from people that have them legitimately.
Grandma Lynn, this is "the bottom line" and my point. "Self Protection". If TPTB EVER (try to) take our RIGHT to protect our self, our family and our property, there will be bloodshed. You can not rely let alone trust authorities.
Also: on one of the news boards, they are talking about where are the school cameras. With surveillance of today schools have cameras. The main stream media is not even mentioning about the cameras in schools.

As someone pointed out, the story has changed so many times, even the main stream media does not know what is going on. and all the news media have different stories.

Read this slowly now....A 20 year old male dressed in tactical gear broke in to an elementary school and killed 26 people then himself. Got that? What is emerging are the stories of the dead heros and the names of the dead.

Elementary School shooting my 2 cents

Not since the DC snipers have elementary schools been targeted. It all pales in comparison to America's foreign policy of drone strikes which routinely murders children.

What I am saying is that we’ve had enough of these events over the last few decades to see undeniable overlapping patterns, and the same toxic stew of legal, cultural and psychological factors recurring in almost every case. Some of this information has to do with readily quantifiable data, such as the fact that most mass shooters acquire their guns legally on the open market, and most use assault weapons or semiautomatic handguns that would be far less easy to obtain if we had more reasonable and realistic gun laws. Some of it is blindingly obvious but not openly discussed, such as the fact that this is almost exclusively a male problem. (As a remarkable survey published a few weeks ago by Mother Jones attests, 60 of the 61 mass shooters in America over the last three decades have been men or boys. Now, I suppose, it’s 61 of 62.)

At least you were engaging before. Now you're back to mindless posting acting as if this public forum is yours exclusively! Not so! This horrible thing happened. There is little reasoning of the why. What most of us here (with the exception of you) are trying to do is to cope with this and heal. Go away for a day and allow us to grieve.

Re: I Am Enraged and Saddened
In my grandson's middle school, they had the doors
looked, so no one could get in, but of course, they
could get out....so what's wrong with that? Someone
check's who's coming in. If you are dressed like he
was, I would be suspicious.
One theory a fellow had was that he didn't kill his
mother, but she committed suicide because she
wasn't working, due to the principal. She was a
teacher's aide. And maybe the principal had
reason for not having her work, for around 6 mon.
So he saw what his mother did and knew she
was upset for not being called back to work.
He went to the principal's office first and shot
her and then the rest.
Now we will see what comes out. Did he have
reason to do this? Heck know, but there are
a lot of crazies out there!
Some theory, huh? But he could be correct.

Re: I Am Enraged and Saddened
It's sad to hear about the story of this family, and the struggle people have when dealing with mental conditions and little help. I'm sad to hear that Adam has Asperger's, as I have known people with Asperger's and know how hard it is for them to socialize and fit in. Though Asperger's doesn't fully explain what must be going on with him, as while the frustration can lead to outbursts, it's not typically linked to something methodical and planned like this.
I am quite disturbed to hear that the mother was a "responsible" gun collector - and had all of these legal guns around - and would take Adam out shooting. I don't think that's the kind of support that a child with social struggles needs.

Re: I Am Enraged and Saddened
Judging a book by its cover the picture of the mass murderer is of a 'mamas boy' who never made it past puberty. High intelligence coupled with the inability to even approach his own manhood (maturity) and with a chemical imbalance, the little brat threw the tantrum of his life. Consider the back drop of environment. A social order that champions 'getting even' (lack of empathy) where violence is piped in through every form of media. A secular culture that personifies absent, withdrawn or visionless parenting. And at this 20 year olds disposal a means to carry out the conclusion of the whole fantasy. The put it mildly, beelzebub had him in spades.
