Texans going wild with 'secession fever,' bumper stickers ev

Postby Cobra478 on Sun Nov 25, 2012 7:37 pm

Move over, "Everything is bigger in Texas." The Lone Star state has a new favorite bumper sticker and it's a simple one-worder: "Secede." Yes, it appears that "secession fever," as some columnists are calling it, has taken over the red-leaning state following the post-election petitions — and sales of the stickers are just one sign. Among others, a perennial GOP candidate named Larry Scott Kilgore has announced he's running for governor and will legally change his name to Larry SECEDE Kilgore — yes, with "secede" in all-caps. His web page also declares, "Secession! All other issues can be dealt with later." [Source]

I think this belongs in R&R Politics.
However, Texas wanting to secede is no surprise. Just give back all federal aid, federal anything for that matter, pay import and export tariffs on all goods coming and going. Deal with Mexico on your own, and please, oh please, keep Joel Osteen, the Dallas Cowboys, and Rick Perry!

Most of his posts should be on the political forum, but for some reason he refuses to conform. Anyway, so long Texas. Who cares? I saw one poster on another forum say that we if they do go, that we should build a fence around it, and not allow any of their people came over the borders of other states. What is funny is that Austin said they would leave Texas of they went ahead with their very stupid movement.

Ah, the fever of those who lost. Too stupid/ignorant to understand the consequences of their wish. Every single state depends on Federal funding for roads, disaster or protection. Simple minds can not grasp this!
