UN Demands Obama Smash State Marijuana Legalization

Postby Cobra478 on Thu Nov 22, 2012 3:26 pm

In a move likely to further alienate the already unpopular United Nations from the American people, a top official with the global body put his ignorance about the U.S. constitutional system on full display by calling on the Obama administration to lawlessly quash recent marijuana legalization initiatives in Washington State and Colorado. Voters in both states approved the decriminalization of the controversial plant on November 6, nullifying unconstitutional federal statutes and a dubious UN narcotics agreement at the heart of the global “war on drugs.”

Under the Supremacy clause of the US constitution the new state laws concerning marijuana violate federal statute and can be challenged (smashed) in federal court. The president doesn't need foreign help and AG Holder should simply do his job. Also, a treaty with the UN has no standing concerning our domestic affairs. Raymond Yans of the UN Narcotics control board can go cry in his beer somewhere in Europe.

But chances are The president will not defend Federal law...just like with immigration. After all...there's voters at stake. And pot heads make perfect Democrats.

First of all, for once, I agree with Mel, except on one point, I believe that states have the right to legalize pot, that being said, yes, the UN can take a flying-----as far as I am concerned, along with the World Bank, WTO, and etc, You see, I am more conservative than you all think. I just belive in SS and national health insurance for all.
