But for The grace of God, it could be one of us

Postby glenstar on Fri Nov 02, 2012 7:53 pm

Today my wife and I were in our local mega giant box store when I was a lady in a wheelchair. Her husband, who was very much ambulatory, was cussing out his wife and complaining because she wanted him to get something from the top shelf for her. I looked down at her, and she was almost in tears. If I was still physically capable, I would have cut him a new one. I should have hit him with my oxygen canister. There is no excuse for such behavior. It must be fun living with a spouse who resents you because you are disabled. Please say a prayer for this poor woman. God bless her.

Let's face it, her husband IS disabled!
No brains and no compassion, a selfish
son of a .........
I thank God I have a husband who
wouldn't think twice to help me, if needed!

It shouldn't make any difference how old
she was......but I bet if I was there, I would
have reached the top shelf. No need to
say anything, just help her!
Don't know if it would have made him feel
guilty, but it would have made me feel good!

Well, you're right but I'd feel more bad if it was an older lady, I would've said something like "Hey take it easy" if it was a younger women then I tend to think it's more their fault, I'd still say something.

She was in a wheelchair, so I figure she
needed some help from him. Old or young.
