Feds not changing marijuana policy, even if 3 states legalize it, US official says

LOS ANGELES - A top Justice Department official has said in a television interview that the federal government is ready to combat any "dangers" of state-sanctioned recreational pot, amid criticism of the Obama administration for its relative silence on legalization drives in three states.

The Feds will never let this happen. The Feds have authority over all 50 states - no states rights.

There's no way they could enforce it though.

And it's really pretty stupid. Make it legal. TAX IT. We will once again become the richest country in the world.
Oh, and prostitution. Mega tax possibilities there!

I am a retired Law enforcement officer who firmly believes arresting people for growing or using marijuana is foolish. We have thousands of people in jail for ingesting a mind altering substance, as happens in every bar in America on a nightly basis. All forms of drugs should be legalized and sold in pharmacies without prescription. Any sale outside of this would be severely penalized.

Those who believe we will get rich taxing grass are obviously smoking pcp laden pot. Marijuana should be legal to grow for ones own use. Can't tax that.

Pain pills are sometimes prescribed
too easily and too much.
I've had two back operations and
only took, after the operation, one
pain dosage. Before only ones that
weren't addicting... and the one
pain medicine for a day...and really
didn't need more. And believe me,
I would have taken more, if needed.
Not to be addicted to it tho. My
doctor was careful.
That's why I've heard that prescriptions
are going to be, or are, on a network, so
you can't go from doctor to doctor to get
pain pills. They will know.....good idea.
